Haunting Nights

by Jessica Dygos   Feb 21, 2005

Mommy please don’t make me go to sleep
The only thing I’ll do is weep
I’ll be curled up in bed
With my hands over my head
Because of these nightmares
That turn my happiness to tears
I’m afraid to sleep
Don’t let me go
My body is being eaten slow
Everytime I awake
To find another mark
I cry alone in the dark
I don’t know what is going on
I just know I’m afraid to sleep
These horrible dreams
Those disgusting scenes
Many terrorizing screams
They hurt me
Follow me
Eat away at me
And every night they haunt me
The fearful haunting nights
