The Wrong Path *repost*

by ¤©h€€®ƒüll¥♥©¥ñ!c@l¤   Feb 23, 2005

I’m just standing in a shadow
In a girl I once knew so well
She used to be so happy,
But now in her eyes tears swell

In this shadow I see the path she took
To get on this bumpy way
She took Disaster Trail instead of Tranquil Drive
She did not know what she would pay

On this path of death and destruction
She cannot see the future beyond her strides
All she sees is depression and hardship
It’s too late to turn back, as her soul slowly dies

She looks like she has taken many beatings
Of life on this lonely path
Thoughts of suicide fill her mind
She is alone in her dark wrath

She looks confused, I wonder if I could help
She says, “No, go away, I want to die!”
I slunk back to where I belong on the other path
I didn’t mean to pry.

I turn around and study the shadow more closely
And see to whom it may belong
This girl walking along is someone familiar
Too bad on this path there is no one to help her along.

In my mind I wonder,
Who this girl could be
Maybe I could help her escape from this,
And then I realize, this girl is me.
