When That Day Comes

by Leah20   Feb 25, 2005

I'm afraid that day will come
The day I get that call
The day I finally realize
That I just stood and watched you fall
I don't want that day to come

I'm afraid that night will come
When I walk toward your stone-cold lifeless self
The night I finally realize
That I could have done more to help
I don't want that night to come

I'm afraid that morning will come
Where they lay your body in the ice cold ground
The morning they bury you with all your secrets
Never to be found
I don't want that morning to come

I can't wait until the day
When I see your smiling face
When things are back to normal
When your pain has been erased
I can't wait until that day

I can't wait until that night
When we do the things that normal teenagers do
I can't wait to go to the movies and to concerts
With the girl that I once knew
I can't wait until that night

I can't wait until that morning
When we wake up laughing at the dreams we had
When you finally say that you're done
With everything that's been making you sad
I can't wait until that morning

Which ever paths you may choose in life
Just know that I'll always be there
Just know that I'll always be your friend
And know that no matter what, I'll always care
Don't ever give up hope!!!!!!
