My Funeral Poem

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Feb 25, 2005

Sharon, born 29th May
Last week did fade away

Just seventeen she died
Taken by her suicide

Her arms nothing but scar tissue
Engraved the words: Mom, I’ll miss you

Found lying in her own blood, almost black
It shone and we knew she isn't coming back

She wrote a note, one line long:
I’m sorry, Mom, everyone, that I couldn't hold on.

The note was written with a shaking hand
I believe all she needed, was someone to understand.

But now can she see, we didn’t know it was too late?
But can we see, that she could not wait?
