The World Through My Eyes

by tormented   Feb 25, 2005

We travel the world,
on our hands and our knees,
Crawling, clawing our way out,
To fulfill our dreams,
Praying and hoping,
Well I'm going to stand up,
hold this thread of hope by my side,
Climb the ladder to happiness,
No one can hold me behind,
We all start off the same way,
Blank as a sheet of paper,
And whats written inside of us,
either makes us,
or breaks us,
In this rode we call life,
i admit,
While traveling on my way to self recognition,
I've destroyed lives,
Leaving a path of destruction,
But the truth has to come out,
I have to spread my wings and fly,
I know now why the caged bird sings,
And the angles cry,
For their tears of joy,
and songs of such sweet sorrow,
drag me forward,
Looking for a brighter tomorrow,
one in which the darkness will end,
and my beautiful sun will shine bright again,
and it is true,
We all travel the world,
on our hands and our knees,
And several don't make it out to finish our dreams,
rather,
we grow older and deader as our lives go on,
resting peacefully in our grave,
the one made for us before we can walk,
decided by the world,
These are my opinions and nothing more,
remember,
When god closes a window,
he opens the door to success.
