Standing On the Edge

by ShadowedPhoenix   Feb 26, 2005

Standing on the edge,
I can't see past the mist!
It isn't clear
All these realities are what I fear!!

I'm standing on the edge,
Wanting to let you go
Wanting to fall from here,
But I just don't have the power!

I'm holding onto you,
But wanting to let go to,
I ask you not to let me fall
But I beg you to let me soar!!

I'm standing on the edge
Of this knife,
One thats defiantly gonna change my life,
And your encouraging me to die!

I don't know what to do
I love you,
But you don't love me
And yet you still won't let me free!

I'm standing on the edge,
Don't hold me back,
I NEED TO JUMP!

Sometimes I think we all feel this way. I know I have a time or two over the man I loved... Very powerful when the writer can make the reader feel their pain or anger... even joy. It is a true accomplishment to make the reader feel your emotions. Good Job!
