Forbidden love
Try my best to hate
After everything I’ll give you the shove
I ain’t ready for love

Your bear my digs, my taunts
You know I feel the same
Hope you’ll convince me soon
That your love really is true

You’re standing in your window
It’s me who’s stood below
Wishing I was next to you
Wishing I could show it too

You stand by me, you defend me
You’re always there for me
Giving into the unlovable
Making myself ungovernable

Now we’re together against my instincts
Caring not what others will say
Walking hand in hand in a street full of strangers
Ignorant of all loves dangers
