Perfect Angel

Little miss perfect
Sits around, so unhappy so unloved
Wondering what happened to her perfect life
Ever since that night her world was destroyed

He came into her life
Like an angel from above
To soon though she found out
That this perfect angel was really just another guy

He was truly a fallen angel
Sent from hell to destroy her life
A job he did with such joy
A job done to such perfection

He broke down the walls hiding her heart
Broke down her defences
Knowing that he was just doing it for the frill of the hunt
He never seemed to care

He never hit her
Yet he manages to harm her
The look he gives her
Lets her know his true feeling

The feeling of repulsion
That he pretended she imagined
The love she felt
Was never once returned

Looking back she still wonders
Is it was something she did
That made him taunt her so
And yet she knows it wasn’t

Through all the hurt he made her feel
She knows she’d take him back in a second
Knows that she’ll never stop loving him
And this is what makes her cut

This is what makes her wake up each morning
Hoping it will be her last
Knowing she’d never be able to end it herself
She cries herself to sleep each night

No one knows the pain she lives with
No one knows the hurt he put her through
No one knows and no one cares
They never have and never will

They don’t care that the perfect angel
And the perfect boyfriend are not as they seem
The only thing they care about is that
Little miss perfect broke his heart

Do they not know what it took
For her to call the relationship off
That the perfect angel didn’t have a heart
That she is the one heartbroken?

She loved him before she knew him
She always has and always will
But she couldn’t take the looks he gave her
the looks that just screamed hatred!

So little miss perfect broke up with the perfect angel
this doesn’t mean that she’s happy
now the only thing keeping her alive
is the knowledge that she still has that blade.

Who would have thought

is the pain that a knife can bring?
