A Young Girl's Cry

I knew a girl who was only 15
The sweetest and prettiest girl
That you've ever seen.

Her parents were druggies
Never showed her love
Their world was messed up
They loved only their drugs.

All she wanted was love
And she tried to reach out
To the two people she loved
And cared the most about.

But they weren't parents
In the world they lived in
They lived life for them
In the fast lane of sin.

Everyone loved her
And told her all the time
We tried to make her happy
So her heart might chime.

Her pain finally got her
One day she pointed a gun to her heart
And pulled the trigger
Lord if only she could've been stopped.

She dailed 9-1-1
Said she shoot herself
All she ever wanted was love
A little attention and respect.

She died a few minutes later
And I know her pain went away
Lord I pray her parents feel the pain
They caused her each and every day!!!!******************************
(This really happened in 2002. It broke my heart. I still think of her today. God bless her sweet and precious heart. We never thought she would do anything like this. Always take the time to say I love you to your children and make sure you have time for them. She took her life because she thought she wasn't loved. If only her parents would have straightened up and showed her a little love, she would still be with us today. This was hard for me to write but if I can make just one parent see maybe they need to give a little more love and attention to their children, then it's worth my pain of writing it. God Bless.
