Heart Monitor Stopped

I'm thinking of him,
Feelings are deep,
I see his face,
Right before i fall asleep,

I can hear his voice,
In that familiar tone,
I think its love,
But this feeling is to me was unknown,

When were together,
And I'm wearing a disguise,
It never takes him long,
To see through my eyes,

We have something special,
Nothing compared,
The light we brought upon each other,
The bond that we shared,

You were coming to see me,
Just about fifteen minutes away,
Until someone so foolish,
Was driving the wrong way,

The ambulances bolted,
Your condition was critical,
Soon enough i got an urgent message,
And rushed to the hospital,

Tears were pouring,
As i held his hand tight,
Whispered for him to hold on,
That he cant give up without a fight,

I told him quietly,
Somehow we'd make it through,
And he managed to whisper,
"I'm always going to love you"

The heart monitor beeped steadily,
Then his hand dropped,
He took his last breath,
As the heart monitor stopped,

Why did something so beautiful,
Have to suddenly halt,
When you died in that accident,
I somehow felt like it was my fault,

Things happen so fast,
And time is irreversible,
Life's like an hour glass,
Glued to the table..
