Tomorrow

by darkgrl21   Mar 2, 2005

You put me on some pedestal
Then when I fell you weren't there
You said we would always be friends
I guess there were stipulations to that
As long as I was perfect? Maybe.
Sorry, I can't be that
And I can't change who I am
Even if I could change, I wouldn't
Not even for you
I guess forever in your eyes
is tomorrow
So I guess our tomorrow has come?

I like your diction. This poem is linear and to the point. if that was your goal then mission accomplished. An interesting set of thoughts.

    Two questions:
How long ago did you write this and how long have you been writing?
