My Eternal Hell

by darkgrl21   Mar 16, 2005

Once a year she comes here
to sit and think of him
She buys a pack of Camels
they'll all be gone when she leaves

If you walk past her and look
she seems like everyone else
You would never know her reason
for sitting here all day

Five years ago today
with her family in the park
She went to get his cigarettes
they were only in the car

Seconds later it was over
her life shattered and gone
A car had lost control
plowed the blanket they were on

So each year she sits
smoking his brand of cigarettes
Waiting for the car to come back
and take her home to them

Late tonight she will go home
and cry herself to sleep
She won't set foot in this park
Until the next March 18th

And next year I will be here
living my own eternal hell
See this is my personal punishment
I was the one driving the car
