Real

by Ian Costello   Mar 3, 2005

You're not the first,
But then I think about you always,
They are one big blob,
A memory in the past,
Did I move on too fast?
Am I unsensitive?

You are what's on my mind,
No need to ask,
Quivering thoughts I hold of you,
My heart has been devoured by your's,
Engulfed into one entity,
My arms are your instruments,
Guide them, instruct them what to do,
Use my legs for walking,
That you never grow tired,
My shoulders your tear pillow,
Let tears turn to resolve,
My ears your venting holes,
Troubles, have we all,

I think and I am,
I am and I love,
I love and I pray for,
I pray for and I want,
I want and I need:
You

Little red roses
Bloom for my lady lover
I harvest for her

Life exudes it,
Power feeds it,
Light reveals it,
Dark cannot hide it,
The love I hold for you,

Let me love you in my turn,
Your heart I will not break,
Many things you will learn,
Love is what we will make,
Make it strong like an oak,
Love so real it can't be broke.
