Empire Earth

by Ian Costello   Jul 18, 2006

Collect for me all the empires of this world,
Be it empires of nations or commerce,
I will draw from these The Power,
Hence forth I shall be known,
By all the peoples of this earth,
Be they small or old,
Everyone shall be aware of
My purpose, the purpose,
The Power!
Only then can we be free,
Free to worship as we please,
Free to be heard in public,
What need has a leader to
Quiet praise, and adoration.
I am the God, I am the speech,
The human race is so feeble,
That it struggles to control nature,
While the beasts embrace it,
They survive, they are selected,
We need to be united, one people,
Wage war on things that are killing,
Not things that cause more death,
Such is the human complex,
To kill all the gifted souls
Because we are afraid of them,
The leaders of the past heeded
Not their predecessor's failures,
Their empires would be here today.
Humans kill civilization,
If only we could sedate our faults,
To be human is to be a lame duck in a lions den,
Humans must become disciplined in survival,
Technology while always be obsolete,
But nature is never ending
As is death,
As is death, permanent.
