Back then we were immature
We did not know the meaning of love
Back then it was said enough times
But we really did not know what it was

Back then having someone was cool
If you did not have someone to love
You were considered a total loser
Even if you did not know what love was

Back then kissing was the greatest thing
If you did not have someone to kiss
You were considered a loner and
That was something you dealt with

But that was then and this is now
There’s a big difference in all of us
Love has a meaning, it’s more than a word
Now there’s another word, trust

Right now I’m ready to be in love
I’m ready to be with one person
Someone to laugh and cry with
And to just plain out have fun

My meaning of the word ‘love’
