In A Tidal Wave Of Red

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Mar 4, 2005

There’s a distant wave
I can sense it coming near
To take me to my grave
To take me away from here.

My whole life I have stood
Under it’s shadow, cold
It’s power can only do good:
I don’t want to grow old.

I wish to die soon
In the comfort of what I know
In the cave that is my room
The wave will let me go.

It’s only a matter of time
And I am anxious for it to come
Soon, soon death will be mine
And all my pain shall be undone.

And when it arrives, when I die
I beg you, please do not mourn
Because I couldn’t stand to make you cry
You cried enough since the day I was born.

I will go, and go with grace
In a tidal wave of red
And a smile on my face
By midnight tonight I will be dead.
