Why didn’t I see?
Your were never mine to keep
Now at night while I sleep
Your face haunts my dreams
Why is love not what it seems
Somehow you linger on
But to me you are gone
Images are all that are left of you
I know that now we are through
Pain eases over time
I know I can’t keep what isn’t mine
So as I sleep you will disappear
Now I know you were never here
