A Life To Live

by Victoria   Oct 1, 2005

Many faces I have seen
Many places I have been
But still I want more
More than I ever had before
I want to walk where no one has ever trod
The horizon I see is so broad
I need to be taken to new heights
So I can take flight
To walk on my ancestors road
Let their teachings forebode
Where my life will really begin
Let them help me never to give in
I want to know everything there is to know
Give my imagination the breadth to grow
Let me feel what is really there
Let my hands mould with care
With all the energy that is around
Let its warmth surround
Let it be my light in the darkest of times
So I can keep the radiance that is truly mine
Every step I take
Will make
An open road that I will walk alone
Never to reach my true home
But the stories I will come to tell
Will show heaven is far easier to reach than hell
