I Will Not Shed A Tear

by Gerard Kurt   Mar 7, 2005

You left as swift as you came.
Our love was lost just like that.
Now I inquire if its the same,
As all those love in lies begot?

If you think I cried, you're wrong.
I did not shed a single tear.
This is unlike the ones in songs,
Where one just cried in sorrow sheer.

My pride cannot be put to shame.
Your worth is not as precious.
You treated my love as if its a game,
Now to your love, I'm not tenacious.

Compare me not to other men.
To those who chase your beauty.
I'm not after your perfect tan,
All I'm asking is a little piety.

Without your grasp, I'm free again.
My heart can search another love.
Love that is sure and that resound,
To this faithful feelong that I have.
