Crimson Past

by ~*GrAcE~*   Mar 7, 2005

Everyday when i see this girl
i see a brand new scar
a crimson pattern on her arm
to mark her ugly past

the other kids turn their backs
her family doesn't care
she locks herself inside her room
and sits in lonely despair

tears run down her face
heavy music blocks out her life
drops of blood hit the floor
with every slice of the knife

her hands begin to shake
she finally puts down the blade
slowly making her way to the shower
to wash the blood away

clear water runs to red
her face cringes in pain
it makes her sick to see these scars
but she does it again and again

she slides down against the wall
cold water runs over her face
the numbing pain fills her body
as she prays to leave this place

i listen to her prayer
for god to set her free
i watch and hope he hears her wish
because this troubled girl is me.
