A Cowboys Ride In Life

by Ashley Redden   Mar 8, 2005

The roughest sport on dirt
The game a cowboy loves to play
The only love a cowboy can depend on
It'll never leave him heartbroken
It'll never leave his soul
The desire to ride
It'll never leave the past
He can always look back to
The one love he'll always cherish
The one he'll never give up on
Its a dream come true
To be noticed for who he is for once
And for what hes not
The thing his woman cant stop em
Thats one thing for sure
He was born to ride
And thats just whats he gonna continue to do
He kneels down
To ask god to be with em once more
Along on another ride
Another long 8 seconds
Puts one hand in the rope
Puts the other in the air
Tips his hat
Nods his head fer the gate
Once more hes made it
As he loosens his hand
Fans are a'cheerin
Seems its all ya could want
But this cowboy life's getting ruff
No one permanently to hold
Nothing ever seems to last
But the winding roads
