A Bleeding Heart

by DMG   Mar 8, 2005

When all seems so sweet and your life's at its best
Resurrecting happiness from he who suppressed
And everything is perfect just like in a dream
At least on the outside that's what it does seem
But the fact of the matter is things, they may look
Like they are sweet as candy but may leave you shook
In your shoes, all alone, walking that last mile
Your heart has been torn out, you don't want to smile
And it hurts like a burn against torn open flesh
And you'd never been ailing from something so fresh
But you learn that things aren't always what you're seein'
Thought it was an angel but it was a demon
And you just wanted to go back to the past
And return to the thing that had left you so fast
Though it felt while it lasted like it was so long
You realize that moving on was so wrong
So you go right back to it and cry and you plead
But you fall on your face and let your heart bleed

Wow, this was just so brilliantly made. I loved every single part of it, how it flowed nicely, the words you used, it was just perfect.
