Last of the Light

by Ð맆îñ¥   Mar 10, 2005

The light shines
My heart pines
For the love that summer brings
A life giver to things
The sun is hot
The earth is not
And in the heat I feel the drop
And all my leaves begin to sop
The weight brings me down
As I enter death’s town
The darkness drifts away
For this last dying day
A final burst from life of mine
When out of me my goodness does shine
The jump is smaller, I’m bridging the gap
The waters stopped; someone’s turned the tap
Off the edge I’m waiting for my rebirth
Footsteps linger as I leave this earth

**erm i think this was the right place to put this**
