Day by Day

by Pianist   Mar 10, 2005

Day by day, life passes by.
Month by month, I do not cry.
Year by year, I hide my face.
Life by life, I lose my place.

Tear by tear, I lose my soul.
Word by word, they dig their hole.
Fight by fight, choosing sides.
Sea by sea, they change the tides.

Mouth by mouth, one special kiss.
Friend by friend that I will miss.
Hand by hand, all I care.
Eye by eye, that longful stare.

Truth by truth, a lie not told.
Faith by faith, my heart grows cold.
Mind by mind, they wonder why.
Star by star up in the sky.

Word by word, a sentence gives.
Night by night is how it lives.
Poem by poem, you feel my pain.
Day by day it's just the same.
