Tsunami Poem

Tsunami Poem

Lost
And dark
And hopeless here

Hurt
And pain
Shed my tears

Fire in my eye
Ambition
Intuition
No one can hear my cries

Lost in thought
And pressing on
My escape
Will not be bought

You can’t see
What hides in here
Just for me
Those things dwell near

Insight
Heart
Worth
Fear

Pressuring
Until I’m hurting
Beyond the rocks
There is a glaze
A layer of mist
To cover my pain

Heart and soul
Carved into me
Working hard
To satisfy my inner need

Waves of grace
There’s power here
Starvation and poverty
Death we mourn
Hearts are broken
And families torn
We reach out
To help you there
No need to risk
Your styled hair

Don’t take a look
Or try to see
The pain that seems
To cover thee

Minds are
Hurt
Twisted and lost
Not sure of what you
Really lost

When the storm hits
Or the pain comes
You’ll sit down
And wonder why
You weren’t the one
Who could have died

Because to feel the loss
And pain
And hurt so much
You want to scream
And to know that something
Some people know nothing
Of the who, what, when, why, or how
Your suffering began

And to know
Some people know
But do not care
To help you repair

That would be simply too much to bear
