Shattered Tears

The sky was gloomy and dark.
The day was wrong.
Silent tears fell from the crying sky,
Shattering like glass as they hit the concrete.

As I walked,
I knew the day would only get worse.
I had no comfort,
No relief,
Save the grasping rain.
