So Far Away

I see you in my dreams at night,
And in the halls at day.
It amazes me, how you could be,
So close, yet far away.

Each day i see your eyes and smiles,
That once lit up my life.
Till that day, you went away,
It cut me like a knife.

Now you only look at me,
With a vacant stare.
So blank and cold, with hate untold,
You've forgotten how you cared.

How i long i reach across,
Our past, the great divide.
And be hold again, like i was back then,
But love you more inside.

I know i need just one more chance,
To show my love is true.
But I've figured out, what you're about,
And i know that I've lost you.
