Train of My Life

by Mira   Mar 15, 2005

I sit there
Watching the world go by in a blink of an eye
People, objects, monstrous buildings flash before my eyes

Things I imagine
Things in reality
Visions of greatness
Actuality of my worlds

Words I never said
Thoughts I needn't say
Races never run
Races never won

Faces I have seen
Blank memories
Glaring eyes
Flaring eyes

Anger and resentment
From past sins and objectives
Houses I have lived in
Apartments I have trashed
Boxes I have packed

Rocks thrown
Eggs tossed
Places I have been
And places I have not

Loved ones
Hurt ones
Sad ones
Grim ones

Knowledge gained
Forgotten books and dreams
Nothing satiates my cravings

Secrets revealed
Truths told
The train of my life

My stop is coming soon
I sigh as the train slows
People in the empty car with me stare as I stand
The people I have hurt
Angered
Resented

It's too late now
I get off at my last stop
Off the train of my life
