Turn the Page

by Danielle   Mar 16, 2005

They say one should never read the ending first
But I want to turn the page
See if it's you and me standing there
Your hand in mine
Your lips flush against the softness of mine. . .
Just one flip and I could see it all

You laugh at my wonder of tomorrow
Leave it to fate, you keep saying
But the idea that you would leave, keeps the beat of my heart still
And I just want to turn the page
Read that last line and know your mine

It's in the stars, you whisper
And still I grip that book
Hand on page, praying the words would be there
And you'll be mine
Cause this has to be real
For I would never survive if you weren't mine

Your on your knee, ring in hand
Speaking words of forever
Promises you've never shed, flow from your eyes
And the wind turns that page. . .
I guess it's meant to be, you and I.
