In Five Years

by mj   Aug 7, 2003

In five years from now I don't know where I'll be,
but I'm sure you will be number one on my speed dail.
We've lived in the same city,
and we've also lived hundreds of miles away from one another.
You've been mad at me,
and I've been just as mad at you.
We've spend hours talking about our latest crushes,
and spent days not speaking at all.
There's always going to be that truck we jumped in the back of for a picture,
and the store you got kicked out of for stealing.
The journeys around the city were long,
but not as long of the lists of guys we've liked.
And even though we've changed,
that stupid little joke will always be funny.
Not only in five years will you be number one on my speed dail,
but you'll also still be my best friend ever.
