A Town Called No Where

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Mar 18, 2005

Climbing up is harder
Than sliding down
Finding you're lost,
Out on the edge of town

No one to trust
That place is cold
Where tears never
Seem to grow old

I resided there
Last year it was home
A dark spot in Nowhere
I lived alone

Not even others
Who shared my shoes
Noticed me
Or my bright red clues

It was an empty place
Walls to high to climb
I just slipped
Falling all the time

The darkness seemed
To come from everywhere
Inside me, and out
Not a soul seemed to care

I waited in vain for months
For someone to lift the veil
Show me life could be good
And happiness wasn't just a fairy tale

But no one came
I stayed stuck
Horribly alone
Completely out of luck

Until one day I decided
Only I could save my broken soul
Only I could be the one
To get back in control

I reached for all the wrong things
No wonder I stayed stuck in No Where
I climbed out, with God holding my hand
And looking back, I'm so glad I'm no longer there.

that was amazing hun, im glad you are out of nowhere, i really liked how you ended it on a happy note, a lot of writers can't tie the dark and then happiness together without it being all over the place, you are really a great writer. keep up the good work
    5/5
