Secret hatred

She tried to hide herself
from all the pain and sorrow
everyone thought her life was perfect
but she never wanted another tomorrow

the world around her
seemed like it was closing int
she had no one to talk to
she had no more friends

the world was becoming darker
it felt like she was being crushed
she picked up the knife but
the cutting wasn't enough

she picked up the pills,
this is the way to go
she shook her head, put them down
and said, this way's much too slow

the loneliness was overwhelming
it seemed like it was always there
she was falling away from the light of day
and it seemed like no one cared

she never had a reason
to live another day
she didn't want to be here
she didn't want to stay

every night she cries herself to sleep
thinking of nothing but her unlikely happiness
wishing the tears will fade away
as well as the departure of sadness

to think she could be beautiful
was another aspiration of hers
it's never going to happen
she just feels like she is cursed
