Let Me Go

Standing on the edge
Let me fall to the ground
Let the whispers of night
Lead me to no sound

Set my soul at ease
And let me fall into these sorrows
Let me find my way out
I don’t want to see tomorrow

Play that soft melody
That sends the misery
I just need a little push
To set me free

Give me my broken wings
So I can learn to fly
I’ll soar with the angels
And stay by their side

Read me those rhymes
Memories from the years
I’ll leave with my words
And slowly forget fears

Let me close my eyes
And just drift away
I’ll float to serenity
I know I’ll be okay

Loosen your grip
But hold onto my memory tight
Give me your last words
And let me say goodbye

    hey Amy, i think a lot of us look at ourselves and wonder why we are holding on when there seemingly is no reason anymore, but you've got to hold on, because if you dont hold on you will never know how your storey ends and believe it or not there are people out there who care for you and in some way need you, excellent poem maybe I've read it wrong but thats how it came across to me 5/5
