Lost

Torn between two worlds,
The past and the present.
Lost in the middle,
A torrent of fear and regret

I stare at the sky,
Watch the clouds pass by.
The wind's pushing me forward.
I'm holding myself back
I kneel to the floor and pray to the Lord,
For I'm haunted by this mental attack.

Walking backwards,
I can't look ahead.
I cant
seem to handle
This merciless dread

Soon I feel the warmth.
I see your hand
Something to hold onto
Something to lead me through,
This lonely, broken land.
