I read the words you wrote her
And hope someday she will understand
I wish she’d hold you tightly
And be there to take your hand

I can’t help but ask you who she is
Because I know she’s missing out
On all the love you have to give
You will care without a doubt

I know that you won’t tell me
So I’ve stopped and given up
But all that I could hope
Is that she will return your love

I hear how much you long for her
And how you write her name
I wish you more than happiness
As this love causes you so much pain
