Finding My Way

My past I will bury,
And say a final good-bye,
It was like a old shoe,
That I'll bury with pride.

I will not be brought down,
To tote these burdens on my back,
They will be uplifted,
Without any slack.

I will gather the goodness in my life,
And all my hopes and dreams,
Pray for a little sunshine,
And for a life that will beam.

I am a strong Woman,
And I will find the way,
Just sprinkle my path with happiness,
And I'll start a new life today.
