Everything is History

by EpithetPoet   Mar 25, 2005

Everything we know today
Will be the questions of tomorrow
Everything we have today
The subject of our sorrow

Through everything we know
With everything we posess
In attempt to find a shortcut
We ultimately regress

Technology for destruction
Comes above fighting disease
When war is all we think about
A cure for AIDs is what we need

Though time stands still
At the very end of the day
Everything will change
Yet stay the same way

Everything has a purpose
Even if no one can ever see
With everything we fight to do
Ends up monotonous history

Outstanding notion for a poem, good word choice and rarely for this place...not boring or predictable. The flow could do with some tidying up because the syllable count seems a little off in places.

But apart from that. Bold effort.
