The Endless Cycle

by Black~Rose   Mar 27, 2005

The girl I see in the mirror is much different from the girl you think I am
I see a girl who is stupid and not very bright
You see a smart and beautiful girl
I see a girl who is hurting
You see a very happy girl
I see the darkness inside
You don\'t see anything at all
Every night before I drift off to sleep
I dream of the knife
The blade so clean and friendly
He will take it all away
All the tears, memories, and my fears
All gone
Then the next day comes
New day of sadness and hurt
The blade with yesturdays blood
Clean it up like new
It starts over again
What an addiciting cycle
Easy to start, hard to stop
Someday, I will end this endless cycle
The wounds are getting harder and harder to cover and hide
I think my friends suspect but not for sure
If they only knew
If they only knew what was happening
