Good Friday

Walking into an unknown place for my eyes.
Enjoying that I walked side by side with a friend.
Hit unexpected but also somewhat expecting,
Something bizarre would happen on this night.
As I walk further forward I come to recognize….
I would be the odd one from the crowd.
Every one with the astonished looks on their faces.
I then start to miss my home a little too much.
Looking for a seat to be able to sit still,
I catch two young boys look my way.
Not even given the chance to find a seat,
Suddenly I hear them start to chatter of me.
I sat on my seat wondering if they would stop caring.
Could not help to slowly bow my head.
And I prayed they would finally quit staring.
I could not help but feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Millions of thoughts rushed into my head.
Desires of wanting to disappear and never come back.
Not knowing whether to frown or to just laugh.
Feeling all mixed up inside,
Just because I was not the color black…

(I had went to a certain church)
