Never give in...

It is really long, but I think it will be worth your time. This is for all the cutters out there...

I am alive and well,
trying to make it.
It is a little hard,
I almost can't take it.

I know not what will come,
I move on though,
taking every hit,
reaping all I sew.

Fighting all the demons
that possess me.
It iss hard to fight though,
when you are your own enemy.

I know in the end
I will come out alive;
the final result
is worth all the strife.

The pain is nothing
compared to the prize:
A long, wonderful life,
I realize.

So in the end,
none of it mattered.
I may come out bruised,
a little bit battered.

But I know it is worth it
in the end,
because after all this,
I will be my own friend.

No more cutting or scratching,
or hurting myself.
No more fears or doubts
of my own self-wealth.

So if you are feeling like me
and you want to leave,
just remember these words:
In yourself, believe.

Because no one is like you,
not a person on earth.
So remember yourself
and what you are worth.

Never give in,
never take the fall.
Take down what is inside,
that towering wall.

Live life to the fullest,
that is what it is for.
And when you want to give up,
remember, you're worth more.
