The Truth

by Ð맆îñ¥   Mar 30, 2005

No! You can’t
Won’t let you, I shan’t
I won’t feel your hand
You don’t understand

Do not scold the truth
Forgive me my youth
For I speak what I see
But you do not see me

Stand in the light
And hide not your might
Let me believe you
Then I’ll be strong too

Don’t see me get lost
Or sent out to the frost
Guide my tired hand
Let us travel this land

Don’t forget what is here
Or ignore facts that are clear
I can’t do what you’ve planned
I don’t demand or command

I ask you once more
To end our sorry war
Forgive me my youth
For I speak only the truth
