Through this

by Timothy   Mar 31, 2005

Through the text of this poem, a message is clear,
A question is evident when I release my fear
My solemn oath I undertook as a younger child
before maturity and adolescence drove me wild
I was on the brink, the edge of an unknown defeat
Blaming it on women and feeling incomplete
I've journeyed to the ends of the metaphysical
I confess my sins in life through my talent of lyrical
I don't need anybody to critique and criticize
Hopefully I won't be told to politicize
My awareness level is above and beyond the norm
I feel like through this I've weathered the storm
So who knows what the future holds,
I'll just take it all in and watch as it unfolds.
