The man who talked to his heart

There once was a man who had a broken heart inside
he didn't know this, until he heard that his heart had cried

he ask his heart "what is wrong my dear heart, are you not well"
the heart looked back" i thought it was love, so i fell"

the man looked at his heart, confused and sad
and asked" well tell me my friend, what made you fall in love so bad?"

the heart answered"well, it was her personality that seemed so right"
the man thought about this, and he thought all night

he then said "well why do you cry then, if you love her so"
his heart answered "well, i cry because she is so high, and i am so low"

the man was confused at this, and thought about it very much
and asked "why don't you talk to her,or give her roses and such"

the heart answered "i offered her my love, but she didn't accept"
the man was sad, and arose from where he slept

he said " it is better to have love and lost, then to have never loved at all"
the heart said " but it hurts more when your love is rejected and you fall"

the man thought more, and wanted to help his heart heal
he then asked "well tell me heart, how else do you feel"

the heart said " i feel sad, angry, but very alone"
then the man said "well at least your not a stone"

the heart replied "thats true, but i would rather be that, then hurt like this"
the man thought even more, to see if there was something he did miss

and then said "if you let time go by, your wounds will close"
the heart said "yes this is true, but by then ill be old"

"you see man, i don't want to be alone, i want a soul-mate "
the man said "that my dear friend, we must leave up to fate"

"in time my heart, you soul-mate will appear"
the heart smiled " i cannot wait for that, and shed his final tear"

the man smiled and layed back in bed
and thought about what he had said

the man smiled and his heart did too
