Understand?

by Todd   Apr 1, 2005

You think your life is hard
Mom, you just don't understand
My life is not something
For you to command
There was always something
Mom, I've seen in your eyes
It was your love for me
Now, I can't see it, has it died
I've told you this once
Mom, times have changed
It's not like when you were younger
we're now kept in a cage
Sheltered from life
Mom, and its evil ways
Not learning of love
or the good old happy days
You must understand
Mom, and listen to my pleade
Now-a-days when we're unhappy
We turn to our friends in time of need
Now, I know I've made you mad
Mom, but you must understand
That the way us teens act today
Is a result of your teen days.
