I Remember

I remember everything
Like the way you would smile
Even if it was only for a second
It was always worth while

I remember the way you'd look at me
With those beautiful brown eyes
But who new that hidden behind them
Was all of those lies

I remember the first time we kissed
The way your lips touched mine
And when you told me to trust you
And that everything would be fine

I remember the time we spent together
How I never had a reason to frown
You made me feel like I could trust you
I was stupid to let my guard down

I remember how I felt
When you said you needed a break
I couldn't stop crying
I felt like such a mistake

I remember later making several cuts
And watching myself bleed
I just kept cutting
Knowing where it would lead

I remember soon after
Laying on the floor
Trying to pick up the blade
And cut some more

I bet everything you said
You would have never guessed
Would leave me hurt inside
And feeling so depressed

But you don't care
Because to you I never mattered
You broke my heart
And now my world is shattered

And now I'm on the floor
Seconds away from death
I'm still thinking of you
As I take my last breath
