Traffic* * *lights

by chloe   Apr 3, 2005

Infuriating rage
When the light is red
Growing inpatients
But the engine is dead
Drivers looking at one another
competing galore
Who has the nicest car?
Who can make their engine roar?

Reduced stress
When the light is amber
Drivers rev their engines
There is no longer anger
Handbrakes released
And gears in place
Pull onto the road
fumes you can taste

Utter delight
When the light is green
People relax
Smiles to be seen
Driving along at an easy pace
Not many people around
There is lots of space

But in the corner of my eye
Just in sight
What’s that I spy?
It’s another traffic light!
