Lies Shall Reign No More

I remember when the darkness came
and took away my pain.
The clouds pulled forth to humble me
and poured on me their rain.
Now I've seen more truth than some
and they cannot see at all...
Their eyes are vacant as they stare
and I am standing tall.
I walked the paths alone and dark
Contemplating things...
I've thought about the end of times
and of the new beginnings.
Things seemed to be so much better for all
when I was not around...
I know they hated me in their hearts
Their bonds of trust I ground.
I trust them not at all; no more.
I'll have not one more heart ache.
I'm still bleeding from where they struck
the wounds that they still make.
It all ends now with my darkness coming in
Rumbling across the skies.
Poison droplets fall on my face as rain
and burn away their lies.
