Helpless

by Liz   Apr 7, 2005

I see you lying there,
helpless as can be,
for days on end,
my sadness, you cannot see.
You can hardly move, form your spot,
of rest, warmth and security,
God knows you all to well,
I know he'll watch over you, for an eternity.
Nothing can stop my feelings,
of sadness deep within,
watching you is painful,
though my feelings are sent to the bin.
I do not want to worry you,
about how your pain hurts me,
I hate to see you lying there,
helpless as can be.

*This poem is for my Nan who is in hospital, after an operation*
**I love you Nan**
