I will hide the truth tomorrow
and I won't let you see my sorrow
i won't shed a single tear
or show you any fear

since my plan hasn't yet backfired
I'll keep telling you I'm just tired
and that I didn't really mean what i said
I don't really feel that dead

I swear I haven't bled
I've thrown up instead
but this you will not know
for i don't want it to show

i won't really be lying
its just not everything entirely
i just don't want to be lonely
friends is what i want us to be

and if i tell you the truth
we will no longer share a truce
that would be a tragic ending
is what i am thinking

so i will keep these secrets to protect our friendship
i will allow lies to pour through my lips
and these secrets i will keep
so everyone will be able to sleep
