A Single Tear

by Jessica   Apr 8, 2005

A single tear dropped from her eye,
But inside she was crying an ocean,
Seeing her love in front of her die,
Her heart couldn’t stand the emotion.

She ran right to the back of her house,
Grabbed a gun from the top dresser drawer,
Quickly but quietly unbuttoned her blouse,
Lied back down onto the hardwood floor.

She aimed the gun right at her chest,
Knowing all she wanted was what she lost,
Feelings told her this was the end of her quest,
That death is what she needed most.

To end her sorrow, to end her pain,
She slowly put pressure on the trigger,
And within a short second of her longest minute,
She ended the life of a sinner.
